NCC Fines Innjoo N4Million For the Sales of Unapproved Phones

The was something I have expected even the Innjoo Technology Limited should have been expecting this. After the release of Innjoo Fire I decided to get my own, which was real trash.
Earlier this week NCC visited the Innjoo office in Lagos sealed and fined the Smartphone company
N4Million for selling unauthorized devices.
Well Innjoo responded to this and paid the N4million Naira asap.
Salisu Abdu Head of Enforcement NCC said;

“They have paid the fine of N4m and the sanction has been suspended. This is a warning to other phone manufacturers to get their devices type approved by the NCC. This is an opportunity for them to get necessary type- approval. It is an offence to sell devices not type-approved by the NCC.”

He further stated that,
"Using non-type approved mobile handsets hampers network quality, warning that any equipment manufacturer found selling about eight handsets not approved will be fined"
