Earlier, when I came to know about this tweak, the mobile device had to be connected via USB cable to the PC. Back then, the process to set-up the speaker with pretty complicated but Soundwire app has nailed it. You can now connect to your android phone to your personal computer and use it as a speaker in less than a minute.
There are over 2 million applications in the Google Play store and frankly speaking, most of them are crap. How to use Soundwire?
Using Sound wire is really very simple.
You just need to have the application on both your computer and your device and then , you can establish a connection between them and use the app.
If you are a person who likes to read the steps, here are those :-
Head over to Georgie Labs and choose your platform (Windows XP , 7 , 8 , 10 , Linux or Raspberry Pi)
Once you click on any of the platforms , the download will start automatically.
Download the file and unzip it.
Install the Sound Wire Servers in your computer.
Now take your android device and download the Sound Wire app from the I am browsing Play Store
You are then supposed to connect them through the app.
Make sure that the computer and the mobile device are connected to the same Local Area Network
Open the Sound Wire server which you have installed on your computer.
You will see the Server Address , note it down.
Now open the android app and enter the server in the “Server option”
Press the sound wire icon present above that option.
You will be connected to your personal computer which can be verified from the green colored “Connected” text written in the Sound Wire server app on your computer.
Now you are all set to play any sort of music you like. Whatever you play on your computer will be played through the Mobile Phone
